Australian men's basketballers continued to make an impact across NCAA Division I on November 12, led by Anthony Dell’Orso’s eight points in Arizona’s 84–49 win over Northern Arizona and Alex Condon’s 13-point, six-rebound effort in Florida’s 78–76 rivalry victory.
Ben Tweedy steadied Colgate with strong floor play, while Joseph Locandro scored 10 points for Maryland Eastern Shore at Nebraska.
Freshmen Abass Bodija and Roor Akhuar combined for 11 in Fordham’s tight win, and Austin Rapp added 11 points, three assists, and three blocks for Wisconsin.
Elsewhere, Joshua Dent, Harry Wessels, and Rory Hawke powered Saint Mary’s past Ohio as Australians featured prominently nationwide.

Senior Anthony Dell’Orso continued his steady start to the season in Arizona’s 84–49 win against Northern Arizona on November 12, 2025 (AEDT). The Melbourne guard logged 23 minutes, finishing with eight points, two rebounds, and three assists, shooting 3-from-8 from the field and 2-from-6 from three. While not as explosive as his 18-point outing against Utah Tech, Dell’Orso maintained his efficient perimeter presence and playmaking, helping the Wildcats cruise to their third straight win to open the 2025–26 campaign.

Freshmen Harry Beauchamp and Truman Byrne both appeared in Central Arkansas’ 93–56 road loss to No. 21 Arkansas, gaining valuable experience against elite opposition. Guard Beauchamp played four minutes off the bench without registering a stat, while fellow Melbourne forward Byrne contributed three points, six rebounds, and one assist in 16 minutes, shooting 1-from-5 from the field with a made three. Despite limited scoring opportunities, Byrne’s rebounding presence and activity on the glass stood out, continuing his promising start to the season as the Bears’ young Australian frontcourt prospect.

Despite the defeat, Locandro continued his impressive early-season consistency — reaching double figures for the third time in four games — and remained a bright spot for the Hawks with his versatile inside-out scoring touch.

Australian talent was on full display as Saint Mary’s defeated Ohio 90–60, featuring four Aussies across both teams. For Ohio, freshman forward Kiir Kuany played 20 minutes, finishing with two points and a rebound on 1-from-2 shooting. Though limited statistically, the 2.06 m Melbourne big man continues to earn valuable minutes early in his college career, providing length and activity in the frontcourt.
On the winning side, Saint Mary’s was led by Joshua Dent, who controlled the tempo with four assists, two rebounds, and two points in 25 minutes, going a perfect 2-of-2 from the line. Fellow Australian Harry Wessels made the most of his time, posting five points, two rebounds, and an assist in nine minutes, showing efficiency and strength around the rim. Freshman guard Rory Hawke added four points on 2-from-2 shooting in 10 minutes, bringing energy off the bench. The Gaels’ dominant win showcased their trademark balance and the continued influence of their Australian core, with all three contributing meaningfully on both ends of the floor.

Sophomore Austin Rapp continued his consistent form in Wisconsin’s 86–55 win against Ball State, contributing across multiple categories. The Melbourne forward played 25 minutes, posting 11 points, two boards, and three assists, while adding three blocks and a steal. Rapp shot 4-from-10 from the field, including 2-from-7 from three, and was perfect at the line (1-of-1 FT). Australian Junior Rex Stirling made an efficient season debut for Wofford in their 93–56 loss to No. 21 Auburn.
