Australian junior Alex Condon and senior Max Mackinnon headlined a busy final weekend of the NCAA regular season as more than a dozen Australians featured across Division I on March 8, 2026 (AEDT).
Condon continued his strong campaign for No.5 Florida with 14 points in a win over Kentucky that secured the SEC regular-season title, while Mackinnon poured in 20 points in LSU’s triple-overtime thriller against Texas A&M.
Elsewhere, Missouri’s Jayden Stone and Wisconsin forward Austin Rapp also produced key performances, while Arizona guard Anthony Dell’Orso helped the Wildcats clinch the Big 12 title as conference tournaments loom across college basketball.
🇦🇺 Florida 84, Kentucky 77 (Final)
Florida: 25–6 (16–2 SEC)
No.5 and reigning national champions Florida defeated Kentucky 84–77 on March 8 to close the regular season on an 11-game winning streak. Thomas Haugh led the Gators with 20 points and nine rebounds while Boogie Fland added 16 points and six assists. Australian forward Alex Condon contributed 14 points on 6-from-8 shooting from the field, adding five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals in 28 minutes as Florida completed a regular-season sweep of the Wildcats.
The win delivered Florida its first SEC crown since 2014 and capped a historic stretch of form under head coach Todd Golden.
