Soon-to-be Australian Bryce Cotton admitted today he hadn't yet considered a potential Boomers call-up once his citizenship is finalised.
" I haven’t thought about it," Cotton said on SEN SA.
"I haven’t really thought about it. I’m still honestly processing that this thing is actually official, ’cause I’m so used to hearing there’s a catch to it or it’s a delay.
"So I’ll cross that bridge once this finally sets in.
"(The ceremony) I believe (is) relatively soon. I think we’re just trying to set up a date for the ceremony but yeah, I think that’s gonna be pretty soon."
But he has already considered the potential for the Adelaide 36ers to make their roster even deeper with another import.
"Yes they could, because with me obtaining citizenship I no longer count as, you know, quote unquote import, so they would be able to go ahead and get another American," he added.

The five-time NBL MVP's immediate focus is the start of the 2025-26 season and building chemistry with his new teammates, including Montrezl Harrell.
"First of all because we have everybody here now, just running through the plays, scrimmaging, basically like four or five minute segments, nothing too hard but enough to get a good sweat," re said.
"That’s where you start to learn, okay, this guy likes a bounce pass or this guy likes the lobs over the top.
"And this is where you wanna make as many mistakes as you can so that by the time the bright lights come on you know exactly what people like and what they don’t like.
"It’s really good to have him (Harrell) here finally. He’s definitely excited, he brought the energy more than I expected, especially for being fresh off the plane.
"It’s great to have all the guys here and it’s just gonna take a little bit of time building that chemistry."
Cotton revealed he would wear his famous No11 jersey with the 36ers as he did with Wildcats.
"11 has always been like a lucky number for me, and I was born on the 11th," he said.
"But on a deeper note, I was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy, but they didn’t know what it was at the time, and as it was progressively getting worse they told my mom to plan for the funeral— that I wouldn’t make it past sixth grade, which would have meant I would have died at 11.
"So, when I see 11, before I put my jersey on, it’s a reminder of the things I’ve been through and overcome in life.
"I’m blessed to still be here, so I make the most of the life I’ve been blessed to have."
Cotton is already preparing mentally for his first game back in Perth later this year and was still uncertain what reception he'll receive.
"I’m not sure. I have a feeling it’s probably gonna be, I guess, mixed feelings, but to be honest it’s not really my concern," Cotton added.
"’Cause the people that I do know over there have no hard feelings towards me, so anybody outside of that really doesn’t matter."
