Highlights
With Parker Jackson-Cartwright hurt, a Breakers forward took the ball and nobody has created more
In the Breakers’ seven games since October 10, Davison is averaging 10.3 assists in 27.0 minutes, after 1.4 assists in 18.0 minutes over the first five.
Nobody in the league is close. Among players with at least four games and 15 minutes a night in that window, Kendric Davis ($436,000) is next with 9.3 assists per 36, then PJC at 9.1 and Raul Neto ($277,000) at 8.6.
On raw numbers, his 72 assists in seven games are nine more than Davis's 63 and 34 of Davison's 79 overall assists (43%) this season have gone to Sam Mennenga.
“It’s fun, but I want to win games,” Davison said of his two-man game with Mennenga.
“Sam’s a great screener, great roller. He’s easy to find in the pocket, but I just want to win.
“It’s fun being out there, but I want to win.
“He works hard. He goes to the gym; he’s the first one there every morning, shoots, gets better in the weight room.
“If you keep doing that every single day, you’re going to see results on the court. It’s a credit to his hard work. You’ve seen all that work pay off.”
Even more impressive, his assists per 36 minutes are more than the NBA’s leader – Josh Giddey, who is averaging 10.1 to start the season at the Chicago Bulls. Washington Wizards guard Trae Young is second on 9.6 for players averaging more than 20 minutes per game in five or more games.

Every NBL27 game he has played, in date order. FG, 3P and FT are made and attempted; the per-game row shows them as a percentage of his season totals. SC is his SuperCoach NBL score.
Where these figures come from
Figures are from the NBL’s official match data, up to and including the Breakers’ game on November 6, and every SuperCoach score matches the official scoring table. His best SuperCoach game was 61 at the Sydney Kings on October 14 (20 points, 4 rebounds, 14 assists, 4 steals). Dates are Australian eastern time. The Breakers played twice in Rounds 1, 3, 5 and 7. The game against Sydney on October 14 was a Kings home game at AIS Arena in Canberra. The table is fixed as at November 7, 2026 and is rebuilt after each Breakers game.
PJC’s last full game was on October 4 at Adelaide, before the lower-leg injury on October 10 kept him out for three games.
Davison took the ball. He had 11, 14 and 11 assists in those three games, against Perth, Sydney and Tasmania, in 29.2 minutes a night.
He has kept it since Jackson-Cartwright returned on October 25, with 6, 11, 10 and 9 assists as the import guard played 27, 30, 23 and then 11 minutes.
The 11 minutes came on Friday, in the 79-77 loss to Tasmania, when Jackson-Cartwright did not play after the 3:43 mark of the second quarter, and Davison still had nine assists.
Only European import point guard Arnas Velicka had more assists per minute before the Lithuanian went down with a quad injury.

AST/MIN is assists per minute played. Per 36 is the same rate over 36 minutes. MIN is total minutes; MPG is minutes a game.
Who just missed out, and where these figures come from
71 players qualify. Milton Doyle (0.196) and Bryce Cotton (0.190) are 6th and 7th. The top five is unchanged if the floor rises to 20 minutes a game. Figures are from the NBL’s official match data for all 55 NBL27 games up to and including Tasmania v the Breakers on November 6, with minutes counted to the second. The table is fixed as at November 7, 2026 and is rebuilt after each round.
Davison’s assist-to-turnover ratio has nearly tripled, from 1.00 to 2.77.
The ratio comes with a catch. It rose because the assists rose much faster than the giveaways. Davison is turning it over 5.0 times per 36 minutes since October 10, up from 2.8.
He has scored more too, 15.2 points per 36 minutes, up from 13.6, on 30-from-61 from the field, 8-from-19 from three and 12-from-18 at the line.
None of it has turned New Zealand's season around.
The Breakers are 1-6 since October 10, and Friday's loss in Launceston was their fifth straight, leaving them 4-8.
The full season tells a similar story. Davison's 10.2 assists per 36 lead the NBL, and his 79 assists match Cotton and trail Davis's 82.
SuperCoach NBL players have noticed.
His SuperCoach average has jumped from 15.0 in his first five games to 38.3 in the seven since, and his price has climbed from $121,600 at the start of the season to $300,400 as of November 6.
