Every Australian women's player in the 2025 NCAA Transfer Portal and where they are headed

  • Mia Jacobs has committed to college powerhouse, Oregon, for her final year
  • 2023 NCAA Champion Last-Tear Poa will move to Arizona State after three years with LSU
  • Six Aussies are still yet to commit to a new school

Keeping track of the college basketball transfer portal has been a wild ride to say the least.

More than 1500 players have entered the women’s transfer portal, with almost 700 having committed to new programs.

Amongst it all, a number of Australian women have found new homes, while others remain in the portal. It must be noted that the portal is now closed, so while no new players can enter, there is no deadline to commit to a program. With that in mind, the chaos will continue for some time yet.

So, where have the Australians landed? Basketball.com.au's women's basketball expert Hayley Wildes has you covered!

Mia Jacobs (Junior)Fresno State University -> Oregon

Mia Jacobs has committed to Oregon and told basketball.com.au what went into her decision earlier this week: “I entered the transfer portal knowing that I wanted to develop against higher level girls - that was one thing I was looking and really pushing for in my recruitment.”

Jacobs starred for Fresno State, averaging a double-double of 18.3 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and 1.8 assists per game last season, and joins the Ducks with aspirations of proving herself in the stacked Big 10 Conference in her final year of college eligibility.

Last-Tear Poa (Senior)LSU -> Arizona State

Last-Tear Poa was granted a final year of college eligibility after a year at Northwest Florida (JUCO) and the last three at powerhouse LSU. Now she is making the move to Arizona State.

Known for her defensive prowess, Poa will provide the Sun Devils an instant hit of energy at the guard position. After playing just 13 minutes per game for Kim Mulkey this past season at LSU, expect that number to rise at Arizona State.

Tess Heal (Junior)Stanford -> Kansas State

Tess Heal transfers from Stanford to Kansas State and will be looking to rediscover the form she had during her two seasons at Santa Clara University from 2022-24. During the 2023/24 season, at Santa Clara, Heal averaged 19.5 points, 4.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds and was one of the top guards in the West Coast Conference (WCC).

Jada Crawshaw (Sophomore)Long Beach State -> Georgia Tech

Jada Crawshaw proved herself at Long Beach State University and has made the jump to Georgia Tech for season 2025/26. Making the move to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Crawshaw will be playing against tougher competition on a nightly basis and after averaging 10.4 points and 4.8 rebounds for Long Beach, she’ll be hoping to lockdown a strong rotation role for the Yellow Jackets.

Zoe Shaw (Freshman)St. Bonaventure -> UC Santa Barbara

Zoe Shaw had an impressive freshman season for St. Bonaventure in tough circumstances as her team finished with just six wins all season. Headed to UC Santa Barbara for her sophomore season, Shaw joins a Gauchos squad that finished fifth in the Big West Conference with an 18-13 record.

Shaw will no doubt be looking to cement herself in the rotation and has a real chance to be a strong contributor after averaging 11 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game last season.

Ella Brow (Junior)SMU -> Baylor

Ella Brow will be making the move from the ACC to the Big 12, having committed to Baylor University. After three years at SMU, Brow will be joining a Bears team that made the second round of the NCAA Tournament after going 28-8 on the season.

Brow could provide Baylor a nice hit of playmaking and scoring off the bench.

Lizzy Williamson (Senior)NC State -> Oregon State

Lizzy Williamson made it the Sweet Sixteen with NC State this past season and after being granted another year of eligibility, she has committed to Oregon State for her sixth year of college basketball.

After spending her first three seasons at Southern Utah, Williamson struggled to find a role on very good NC State squads the past two seasons, which included a run to the Final Four in 2024.

Alice Dart (Freshman)Washington State -> Buffalo

Alice Dart will continue her college career at Buffalo after playing five minutes per game for Washington State in her freshman season.

Jaime Gallatly (Freshman)Southern Miss -> Cal State Bakersfield

Jaime Gallatly will be making the move from Southern Miss to Cal State Bakersfield for her sophomore season and the Roadrunners will be hoping Gallatly can contribute immediately after recording just two wins last season.

Holly Dolny (Freshman)Loyola Chicago -> Chadron State

Holly Dolny will be hoping to find more consistency in her sophomore season, making the move from Loyola Chicago to Chadron State. She played seven games for the Ramblers in her freshman year and will have the chance to earn more minutes with the Eagles.

Uncommitted Australian men's college basketball players for 2024-25

  • Lily Carmody - (Freshman) - Butler ->
  • Georgia Cox - (Freshman) - Eastern Illinois ->
  • Jemma Amoore - (Freshman) - Sacramento State ->
  • Adout Ring - (Junior) - Presbyterian ->
