Australian WNBL investor and WNBA superstar Angel Reese was traded by the Chicago Sky to the Atlanta Dream for two first round draft picks and is now a possible teammate of reigning WNBL MVP Isobel Borlase, 21, if the Bendigo Spirit star opts to join the Dream in 2026.

Borlase was drafted by the Dream in 2024.

Australian Opals Ezi Magbegor and Alanna Smith are without doubt two highly coveted WNBA free agents heading into the 2026 WNBA season.

The centres remain free agents and are set for a pay rise under the new collective bargaining agreement.

Smith was named co-WNBA Defensive Player of Year at the Minnesota Lynx while Magbegor was a standout paint protector for the Seattle Storm.
