Debuts to remember and the Atlanta Hawks seem to go hand-in-hand.
Just weeks after Aussie big man Jock Landale marked his arrival in Atlanta with a 26-point, 11-rebound performance against the Utah Jazz - he and Dyson Daniels' newest teammate in former Golden State Warrior Jonathan Kuminga put together a Hawks debut he will never forget as well.
The dynamic wing, who struggled to find any consistent playing time with the Warriors, had 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists in his first game alongside Daniels and Landale in a Hawks uniform as Atlanta trounced the Washington Wizards 119-98 at State Farm Arena.
Kuminga was traded alongside sharpshooter Buddy Hield for big man Kristaps Porzingis at the trade deadline as the Hawks doubled down on athletic guards and wings to add to their stocks, which already include Daniels and NBA All-Star Jalen Johnson.
The match was also a welcome return to Atlanta for former Hawks superstar Trae Young, who was traded to the Wizards but is sidelined with injury, as the local fans gave him a standing ovation during the game.
