Day 2 of the 2026 Rising Stars Invitational Australia Qualifiers shifted from breakout performances to finals-level basketball as Austin Kirikiri, Bailie Wickham, Boris Rosner and Vanessa Tavete headlined a packed Saturday at Melbourne’s State Basketball Centre.
Kirikiri scored 55 points across two Rowville SC wins, Wickham and Nikki Parker combined for 68 points for unbeaten Marist Regional College, while Berwick College erased a 21-point deficit behind Parker Rivet and Rosner in the boys quarter-finals.
Across 12 games, transition offence, rebounding dominance and defensive pressure separated the remaining title contenders ahead of Sunday’s semi-finals and championship games.

JSR generated 37 points from turnovers and finished with 21 steals, forcing Barker into 33 turnovers despite being outrebounded 61–47.
Barker led by 10 at quarter-time and pushed the margin as high as 19, but JSR flipped the game with a 30–19 second quarter. Sadie Jones added 11 points and six rebounds, Ellie Boxall scored 11 off the bench, while Jasmine Giles produced six points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and four steals.
Mansory kept Barker in the contest with 28 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals, while Sasha Claque added 16 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. Elley Hawken finished with five points and 12 rebounds.

After trailing by two at quarter-time, Marist broke the game open during a decisive 24–9 second quarter through offensive rebounding, paint scoring and transition play. The Tasmanian school scored 44 points in the paint and 23 fast-break points.
Maddi Carr led Flinders with 26 points and 10-of-12 shooting from the free throw line, while Nyachoop Muot added 12 points with four made threes. Jayda Fancett provided a strong bench performance with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Trinity responded strongly in the third quarter behind Josh Louis, who finished with 24 points on 8-from-14 shooting, while Ezra Wormald added 15 points and nine rebounds. Harry Schubert also provided efficient interior scoring with 14 points on 7-from-11 shooting.
Despite Trinity outshooting Templestowe from the field at 48 per cent, the rebounding differential and turnover pressure proved decisive as Templestowe generated 25 points from turnovers and 30 bench points.

Berwick broke the game open early with 63 first-half points and continued to build separation through rebounding pressure and defensive activity, forcing St Joseph’s into difficult half-court offence throughout the game.
Lucas Fedele led St Joseph’s with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Jack Freeman added 10 points on efficient interior finishing. Ty Synnott, coming off a 39-point outing earlier in the tournament, was held to seven points on 2-from-15 shooting.
Berwick finished with a commanding 58–31 rebounding advantage and received 68 bench points in a complete team display.

Manny Majak added 10 points and 15 rebounds as Western Heights won the rebounding battle 55–53, but Rowville’s efficiency inside and lower turnover count proved decisive.
Both teams finished with 13 bench points, while Rowville generated 46 paint points and 17 points from turnovers.

Willetton controlled the game through the opening three quarters, building a 20-point lead behind defensive pressure and efficient ball movement. The Western Australian school forced 23 turnovers and converted them into 19 points while receiving 30 bench points.
Joe Buckle added eight points, nine rebounds and four assists for St Patrick’s, while Noah Phillips contributed six points and six steals. St Patrick’s generated 26 points from turnovers but struggled offensively outside of Hood, shooting 35 per cent from the field overall.

Templestowe won the rebounding battle 55–47 and generated 34 bench points in a balanced team performance.

St Joseph’s struggled offensively throughout the game, shooting just 24 per cent from the field and 5-from-32 from three-point range. Harlow Munt led the scoring with 16 points, while Ty Synnott was held to eight points on 3-from-15 shooting.
Western Heights also received strong defensive contributions from Riak Akhaur, who added three blocks off the bench.
