NBA Box Score: Indiana Pacers 78 Detroit Pistons 121
Detroit improved to 30–10 (17–4 home) with a dominant wire-to-wire win over Indiana, who fell to 10-33 overall, at Little Caesars Arena.
Detroit blew the game open immediately, leading 31–11 after the first quarter and 59–25 at halftime, then continued to punish Indiana’s second unit with superior shot quality, pace, and physicality. The Pistons shot 49% from the field and 47% from three, assisted on 32 baskets, and won the rebounding battle 51–42, turning consistent stops into transition scoring throughout the night.
For Indiana, Australian wing Johnny Furphy started and logged 24 minutes, finishing with 5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. While the Pacers struggled collectively to generate offence (35% FG, 23% from three), Furphy remained active defensively, competed on the glass from the wing, and stayed engaged as Detroit’s early surge took the game out of reach.
Cade Cunningham and Duncan Robinson led a balanced Pistons attack, while Detroit’s bench maintained pressure, extending the margin across all four quarters. Indiana never recovered after the opening stretch, trailing by at least 30 points for much of the second half.
NBA Box Score: Minnesota Timberwolves 123 San Antonio Spurs 126
Australian Boomers veteran Joe Ingles didn't suit up for the Timberwolves today.
NBA Box Score: Charlotte Hornets 116 Golden State Warriors 136
Golden State moved to 24–19 (16–6 home) with an authoritative home win over Charlotte, who fell to 15-27, behind sustained offensive pressure across all four quarters.
The Warriors led 39–28 after the first, extended the margin to 69–57 at halftime, and blew the game open with a 43-point third quarter, repeatedly punishing Charlotte’s defensive rotations with ball movement and perimeter shot-making. Golden State finished at 55% from the field and 44% from three, assisted on 34 baskets, and controlled the game’s tempo once separation was established.
For Charlotte, Australian wing Josh Green came off the bench for 15 minutes, finishing scoreless but contributing one rebound, one assist, and two turnovers. His minutes came during a stretch where the Hornets struggled to slow Golden State’s bench units, as the deficit ballooned through the middle quarters.
Brandon Miller led Charlotte’s scoring with 28 points, but the Hornets were unable to sustain defensive stops once Golden State’s shooting rhythm set in. The Warriors’ depth and efficiency ensured the result was beyond reach well before the final quarter.
NBA Box Score: Los Angeles Lakers 116 Portland Trail Blazers 136
Portland improved to 21–22 (12–10 home) with a strong home performance, controlling the game from the opening quarter and maintaining separation across all four periods. The Blazers led 40–27 after the first, carried a 71–61 halftime advantage, and answered every (24-16) Lakers push with timely scoring and interior control in the second half.
Portland shot 52% from the field, won the free-throw battle 26–19, and generated consistent paint pressure while keeping ball movement flowing. Shaedon Sharpe and Donovan Clingan anchored a balanced attack that kept the Lakers chasing throughout.
Australian big Duop Reath came off the bench for 13 minutes, scoring 5 points on a perfect shooting night and adding five rebounds and one block. Reath’s stint provided physical interior minutes as Portland maintained its lead through the middle quarters.
Los Angeles received 25 points from Marcus Smart and 20 from LeBron James, but struggled to string together defensive stops as Portland’s efficiency and depth proved decisive.
