Sunshine Coast 117 def Rockhampton 86 — Watch the Replay
Deshawn Ross-Paiwan delivered a spectacular 30-point performance as Sunshine Coast Phoenix dominated Rockhampton Rockets 117-86 at Maroochydore Stadium. Ross-Paiwan was on fire, shooting an outstanding 63.2% from the field including 4-from-10 from deep, while Erik Kafritsas added 26 points with five triples. For Rockhampton, Jalen Graham fought valiantly with 26 points on efficient 68.8% shooting.
The Phoenix were lethal from long range, connecting on 43.6% of their three-point attempts compared to Rockhampton's dismal 28.2%. Sunshine Coast's well-rounded attack featured six players scoring in double figures, while their defense forced 15 Rockets turnovers. The home team gradually pulled away, building their lead to as many as 31 points during their comprehensive victory.
Southern Districts 108 def Mackay 96 — Watch the Replay
Tamuri Wigness delivered a masterful triple-double with 33 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds as Southern Districts defeated Mackay 108-96 at Rowland Cowan Stadium. Wigness was exceptional, shooting 50% from the field and adding three steals to his stellar stat line. Max Kerle contributed 19 points and six steals, while Blake Jones secured a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
The Spartans dominated inside, outscoring Mackay 58-42 in the paint and winning the rebounding battle 40-31. Despite Mackay shooting an efficient 52.5% from the field, their 22 turnovers proved costly as Southern Districts converted those mistakes into 14 points. Jerron Jamerson led Mackay with 19 points in just 16 minutes, while Makuach Maluach and Emmanuel Malou added 17 points each in a balanced but ultimately unsuccessful effort.
