SuperCoach NBL Head-to-Head
Round 2 tips on Wednesday night, and that is when your head-to-head league becomes real.
- Public head-to-head leagues fill to 16 teams and start in Round 2.
- Anything short of 10 players at the rolling lockout is removed permanently.
- Eight-team leagues start in Round 3, so check which one you are in.

But bragging rights – proof you know more about basketball than your friends – are far more valuable. That’s the power of head-to-head leagues.
Sixteen-team leagues start in Round 2, and that includes the public leagues; the eight-team head-to-head leagues start in Round 3.

Don’t forget, you can also create a custom league with its own rules anytime you want if you’re not ready for Round 2.
What you need to know
- Public SuperCoach NBL head-to-head leagues fill to 16 teams and start in Round 2, which tips at 7:30pm AEST on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
- A team that is not a full 10 players at that rolling lockout is removed without notice and permanently replaced, public league or private.
- Unless you joined by invitation you have already been auto-added to one of those public leagues, and nobody can be invited into it.
- They play every other team once through to Round 16 and rank on win-loss, then percentage or total points.
- Finals are a four-round series across Rounds 17 to 20, so a head-to-head season is decided a full round before the competition ends at Round 21.
