Cairns Taipans star Jack McVeigh ($349,800) topped SuperCoach NBL Round 8 with 95 points from the Taipans' double, his best round of the season.

McVeigh had 32 from 20 points and seven assists in the 107-95 loss to the Illawarra Hawks at Cairns Convention Centre on Thursday, November 5, then 63 from 36 points in the 100-92 win against the Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena on Sunday, November 8, when his eight threes were the most by any player in an NBL27 game. Coaches who gave him the armband banked 190. He climbs from 14th to 10th overall on 406.

Adelaide 36ers guard Bryce Cotton ($473,900) still leads SuperCoach NBL on 501 after scoring 33 from 22 points and 10-from-11 at the line in the 106-78 win against the Hawks at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday, November 7. Teammate Nick Rakocevic ($188,400) is second on 487 after scoring 47 from 20 points and 16 rebounds. Zylan Cheatham ($339,500) had the biggest single game of the round and of the season so far, 71 from the first triple-double of NBL27: 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists without a turnover. He climbs from 10th to ninth.

SuperCoach points for the fifteen highest scorers of NBL27 Round 8. Read the G column first: Brisbane, Cairns, Illawarra and Perth played twice in Round 8, so ten of these totals cover two games. Nick Rakocevic and Yannis Morin tied for 15th on 47, so both are in and the table runs to sixteen.
How this table is built, and where the numbers come from
SuperCoach points are SuperCoach’s own. The box score beside them is the NBL’s, added up across every Round 8 game the player appeared in, so a player who played twice shows two games’ worth of minutes and shooting as well as two games’ worth of points. Neither figure is worked out from the other: we recalculate every SuperCoach score ourselves from the box score and the table is only built if they all agree, which they do. Price shows each player’s starting SuperCoach price, then his price now, with the change underneath in green for a rise and red for a fall. Prices are after SuperCoach’s Round 7 update. The biggest single game of the round was 71, by Zylan Cheatham. Checked on 9 November 2026, after all seven Round 8 games had finished.

Perth's Kristian Doolittle ($317,500) scored 89, the second-highest score of Round 8. He had 56 from 24 points, nine assists and five threes in the 109-104 loss to the Brisbane Bullets at Nissan Arena on Wednesday, November 4, then 33 against Cairns. He climbs from 16th to 11th, and his 38.7 a game is the fifth-best average in the Top 25. Elijah Pepper ($202,700) added 53, including 31 from 26 points against the Taipans, and Jaron Rillie ($177,100) scored 47 from 14 points and 13 assists across the two games.

At the Taipans, Jaylon Brown ($277,000) scored 69, including 41 from 22 points and 6-from-10 from three against Perth, and enters the Top 25 at 22nd. Malique Lewis ($207,900) scored 61 with seven blocks across the round, six of them against Perth, and climbs from equal 19th to 13th. Keanu Pinder ($300,000) added 51 and moves from 15th to 12th.

Brisbane guard Nate Hinton ($277,000) scored 63, with 31 against Perth and 32 in the 120-92 loss to Melbourne United at John Cain Arena on Saturday, and holds eighth. Raul Neto ($277,000) had 57, including 34 from 10 points and eight assists in 14:40 against the Wildcats.

United's Cole Anthony ($300,000) scored 44 from 32 points on 13-from-14 shooting in 20:27 against the Bullets and holds fourth on 455. Josh Oduro ($277,000) had 47 from 28 points and 14 rebounds and holds sixth.

New Zealand Breakers big man Sam Mennenga ($303,100) scored 59 from 29 points and 17 rebounds in the 79-77 loss to the Tasmania JackJumpers at the Silverdome on Friday, November 6, and climbs from seventh to fifth. Will Magnay ($269,300) scored 35 in the win and slips from fifth to seventh. Parker Jackson-Cartwright ($405,200) managed four in 11:07 and drops from ninth to equal 14th with Tasmania's Taran Armstrong ($304,700), who scored 20.

Sydney Kings guard Kendric Davis ($436,000) scored 53 from 28 points and nine assists in the 110-99 win against the South East Melbourne Phoenix at Afterpay Arena on Sunday, November 8. He holds third on 476, and his 43.3 a game is the best average in the Top 25. Xavier Cooks ($308,000) had 46 from 15 points and 14 rebounds on 6-from-7 shooting, and Phoenix big man Yannis Morin ($277,000) scored 47 from 12 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks.

One player is new to the Top 25: Brown. One dropped out: United's Joe Ingles ($300,000), who scored 11 against Brisbane.

The twenty-five highest SuperCoach season totals after eight rounds of NBL27. Check the G column before comparing totals: clubs have played different numbers of double-header rounds, so six of these players have had thirteen games and the rest fewer. Avg is the fairer comparison.
How this table is built, and where the numbers come from
Totals, round scores and prices are SuperCoach’s own. We also recalculate every score ourselves from the NBL’s box scores, game by game, and the table is only built if the two agree for every player in every round. They do, apart from three late NBL box-score changes that SuperCoach never applied, where the table keeps SuperCoach’s figures: a Round 2 turnover moved from Nick Rakocevic to Matt Kenyon, a Round 3 assist moved from Parker Jackson-Cartwright to Sam Mennenga, and a Round 6 assist added to Zylan Cheatham. Avg is the season total divided by games played. Price shows each player’s starting SuperCoach price, then his price now, with the change underneath in green for a rise and red for a fall. Prices are after SuperCoach’s Round 7 update. Best average in this table: Kendric Davis, 43.3 a game from eleven games. The biggest single game of the season so far is 71, by Zylan Cheatham. Checked on 9 November 2026, after every game of Rounds 1 to 8 had finished.
