Hannan Wickstrom surges to headline Aussie rankings
Hannah Wickstrom headlines a reshuffled Aussie NCAAW Top 10 after dominant Week 15 performances.
- Wickstrom erupts for 27-point, 13-rebound double-double
- Condron logs 54 minutes in triple-overtime thriller
- Burrows, Emma-Nnopu deliver clutch conference wins
Familiar faces return to the top 10 as star Australians surged during the latest week of women’s college basketball.
It was a brutal week cutting the list down to just 10, with some of those who missed out more than deserving of a spot. But alas, only 10 can be named each week!
Let’s break it all down.
AUSTRALIAN NCAAW PLAYER POWER RANKINGS
1. Hannah Wickstrom (UC Riverside) SOPHOMORE
Best Performance – 27 points, 13 rebounds and five assists in 39 minutes v UC Santa Barbara
Hannah Wickstrom took over in the fourth quarter to lead the Highlanders home against the Gauchos. With her squad trailing by one point with seven minutes to play, Wickstrom hit back-to-back triples to give UC Riverside the lead, and they never looked back, claiming an important 69-62 win.
Wickstrom hit five triples for 27 points and 13 rebounds, recording double-doubles in each of her past three games.

2. Erin Condron (UC San Diego) JUNIOR
Best Performance – 22 points and 11 rebounds in 54 minutes v UC Davis
In a triple-overtime thriller, Condron absolutely gave her all, but the Tritons came up short against the Aggies, 88-80.
Condron levelled the scores with just over 30 seconds remaining in regulation, and she incredibly played all but one minute of the game (her 54 minutes played set a new career-high), but it wasn’t enough.
Condron and UC San Diego bounced back a couple of days later with a vital win over fellow Aussie Hannah Wickstrom and UC Riverside, 79-68.

3. Charlise Dunn (Davidson) – SENIOR
Best Performance – Two points, two rebounds, and three assists in 36 minutes v Richmond
Charlise Dunn drops to third in the rankings after playing just one game this past week, and she struggled to get it going against Richmond.
The Wildcats couldn’t keep up with the Spiders’ hot three-point shooting, hitting just 5/22 from long range, compared to 12/14 for Richmond, as Davidson scored their lowest total of the season, losing 65-43.

4. Lara Somfai (Stanford) FRESHMAN
Best Performance – 15 points, 15 rebounds, and two assists in 35 minutes v Virginia Tech.
Lara Somfai entered her freshman season with lofty expectations, and it’s a testament to the South Australian native that she has fully delivered. She continued her dominant campaign with an impressive double-double against Virginia Tech, tallying 15 points and 15 rebounds.

5. Lulu Twidale (California) JUNIOR
Best Performance – 17 points, four rebounds, and two assists in 39 minutes v Virginia.
Lulu Twidale extended her strong form in a gritty win over Virginia, sinking four crucial free throws in the final 10 seconds to secure the Golden Bears’ 64-58 victory.
On her way to 17 points, Twidale hit three triples and remains one of the most dangerous long-range threats in the nation.

Best Performance – 14 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, four blocks, and three assists in 37 minutes v Eastern Washington.
Antoniette Emma-Nnopu led Weber State in its overtime win against Eastern Washington. She tied the game with a clutch three in the last 70 seconds and scored seven points in overtime to earn the Wildcats a gutsy 74-72 win.

With only one game last week, Mia Jacobs drops a spot, unable to find her rhythm in Oregon's 51-43 loss to Washington.
It’s been a tough schedule for the Ducks, having played seven ranked opponents in their past 14 outings, and despite only winning two of those matchups, they have really held their own, with four of their five losses by eight points or less.

Best Performance – 19 points, 16 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 36 minutes v Clemson
Sophie Burrows returns to the top 10 this week after producing a career game in a clutch win over Clemson. Her 16 boards set a new career high, as she led the Orange in points, rebounds, and assists against the Tigers.
Burrows made key plays down the stretch, scoring or assisting on nine of Syracuse’s final 15 points to help the Orange claim a vital 68-64 win.

This has been a tough season for the Eagles in the ACC, but Lily Carmody, the team’s leading scorer, consistently stands out.
The sophomore guard has scored 15+ points in four of her past five outings and averaged 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals across two games this past week.

After debuting in the top 10 with a career-best last week, Hannah Chicken remains ranked after notching her second career double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) against Northern Arizona.
Despite falling in overtime, 88-80, Chicken continues to prove herself in the Big Sky Conference.
