Highlights

Track every Australian playing NBA Summer League basketball in 2026.

The 2026 NBA Summer League is done, and the Australian contingent came home with one championship ring, two full-time starting jobs and a considerable amount of evidence.

Fourteen Australian and NBL-linked players took the floor across the three competitions – Las Vegas, the California Classic and Salt Lake City – for 97 appearances between them.

The headline

Rocco Zikarsky scored the most and played the most. Lachlan Olbrich was the only one to finish as a champion (Alex Toohey was on the roster but didn't play). Oscar Cluff rebounded at the best rate of anyone. Zikarsky and William "Davo" Hickey were the only two Australians to start every Las Vegas game they played.

Made their case

Rocco Zikarsky – Minnesota Timberwolves. 12.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 blocks in 24.4 minutes across five starts, shooting 50 per cent. The heaviest workload and the best return of any Australian in the tournament. His best night was 18 points against Portland; his most efficient was 5-from-5 for 12 against Indiana; his most complete was 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks against the LA Clippers. A 19-year-old centre trusted with starter's minutes for a fortnight is the clearest development story of the summer.

Flynn Cameron – Portland Trail Blazers. 10.2 points and 3.2 assists in 14.5 minutes, shooting 50 per cent from the field and 42.9 per cent from three – the best three-point rate of any Australian who took more than five attempts. He scored 16 against Denver and 12 against Utah with six rebounds and four assists. For a guard whose case rests on shooting, the efficiency matters more than the volume.

Lachlan Olbrich – Golden State Warriors. 9.0 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.9 minutes over eight games at 58.5 per cent from the field, and the only Australian to end the summer as a champion. His best basketball came in the California Classic – 13.3 points a game including a 21-point night against Miami on 7-from-7 shooting. The number that explains him best is not a scoring one: his best plus-minus of the summer, +27, came in a game he scored six points.

Former Illawarra Hawks guard Lee Hyun-jung – San Antonio Spurs. 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 17.2 minutes over eight games, with 85.7 per cent from the free-throw line. His 22-point night against Utah, on 4-from-7 from three, was the single best shooting performance by anyone in this group. He also earned the only start of his tournament in the final Las Vegas game.

Did the job asked of them

Luke Travers – Milwaukee Bucks. 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 15.2 minutes across six games. His best was 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals against Charlotte. Three steals against Phoenix in a two-point game says more about his role than his scoring average does.

Former NBL Next Star Star Malique Lewis – Milwaukee Bucks. 4.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 15.0 minutes over four games, his best a nine-point, five-rebound night against Sacramento in the California Classic. Minutes were scarce in Las Vegas behind a crowded Bucks frontcourt.

Oscar Cluff – Houston Rockets. 4.0 points and 7.6 rebounds in 18.4 minutes – the best rebounding rate of any Australian at the tournament, by some distance. He pulled 10 against Brooklyn in a game he scored two points, and nine twice more. An undrafted rookie big who rebounds like that has a professional future somewhere.

William "Davo" Hickey – Los Angeles Lakers. 3.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 16.1 minutes over seven games, five of them starts. The Lakers won four of his five starts. He opened with nine points, seven rebounds and three assists against Oklahoma City, and his passing peaked in the California Classic at 6.0 assists a game. An NBL guard running an NBA franchise's summer offence for five straight games is the quiet surprise of the fortnight.

Limited minutes, useful moments

Harry Wessels – San Antonio Spurs. 3.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 8.4 minutes, but 70 per cent from the field. His last game was his best: 10 points and nine rebounds in 17 minutes against Phoenix. Wessels has now signed with the Sydney Kings for NBL27.

Anthony Dell'Orso – Sacramento Kings. 3.0 points in 11.0 minutes across four games, including a perfect 3-from-3 for seven points against Brooklyn.

Max MacKinnon – Charlotte Hornets. 1.7 points in 7.0 minutes over three games. His five points against Boston came in a single minute on the floor – 2-from-2, including a three.

Kuany Kuany – Milwaukee Bucks. 0.7 points in 6.3 minutes over three games, his most substantial being 15 minutes in the California Classic with two rebounds and two steals.

Will Johnston – New York Knicks. 0.5 points in 12.2 minutes over four games. He got the minutes – 19 against San Antonio – but the shots did not fall, at 1-from-7 for the tournament.

Former NBL Next Star Karim Lopez – Memphis Grizzlies. One game from seven squad appearances: 11 minutes against Atlanta for four rebounds, two blocks and a steal. A meaningful defensive shift in a tiny sample, and not a result to judge him on.

Did not play

Alex Toohey – Golden State Warriors. Zero minutes. The 22-year-old from Canberra was on the Warriors' roster while still working back from the knee injury that ended his first NBA season and cost him his two-way contract in December. That Golden State brought him to Las Vegas anyway is the story.

Golden State Warriors 94 def. Memphis Grizzlies 90 (Championship Game)

Australian forward Lachlan Olbrich finished his NBA Summer League campaign as a champion, helping the Golden State Warriors claim the 2026 Summer League title with a hard-fought 94-90 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in Las Vegas.

The former Illawarra Hawks NBL25 championship forward played 16 minutes off the bench, contributing two points and three rebounds while providing his trademark physicality as the Warriors completed a 5-1 Summer League campaign.

Olbrich's championship caps an impressive tournament in which he earned consistent rotation minutes and showcased his versatility, toughness and high-IQ play against NBA-level opposition. Across six appearances, he averaged 9.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 15.2 minutes per game, highlighted by a 19-point debut and several strong performances that strengthened his case for further NBA opportunities.

Golden State was led by Deivon Smith, who exploded for 21 points, nine rebounds and three assists off the bench, while Yaxel Lendeborg added 21 points and 10 rebounds and LJ Cryer finished with 15 points.

Former NBL Next Star Karim Lopez did not play for Memphis, receiving a DNP – Coach's Decision, as the Grizzlies fell short after entering the championship game with a 4-1 record.

Every 2026 NBA Summer League appearance by the 14 Australian and NBL-linked players, across all three competitions — Las Vegas (76 games), the California Classic (12) and Salt Lake City (6). Averages exclude games not played; GP counts games played, not squad appearances. Shooting percentages are summed makes over summed attempts, not averaged per-game percentages, and the made-attempted splits are shown so the maths is checkable. Karim Lopez played one game from seven squad appearances — his line is a single game, not a verdict. Alex Toohey was on Golden State's roster for nine games and did not play, so he does not appear. Lachlan Olbrich's franchise is shown as Golden State Warriors throughout; the California Classic entry was “Warriors Gold”.
