A last-second Bryce Cotton game-winner over Torrey Craig has completed a remarkable comeback for the Adelaide 36ers as they recorded a 91-89 win over the Sydney Kings at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in game two of the NBL26 Championship Series.
The game looked gone for Adelaide after a dominant 25-15 third quarter from the Kings but Cotton finally found avenues to attack the usually suffocating Kings defence in the fourth quarter to have the 36ers within reach in front of a raucous and sold-out home crowd.
With scores tied at 89-89 with just seconds remaining, Adelaide forced a tough shot from Kings guard Kendric Davis, leading to Cotton being able to push the full length of the court within four seconds to have a shot to win the game.
With Craig - a player known for his defence at the highest level, even in the NBA - chasing him down, Cotton avoided the outstretched hands of the Kings late-season recruit and get a reverse layup to go to win the game and send lift the roof off the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The moment led to an ugly confrontation between Cotton and Davis after the man, who finished second in the MVP voting, seemed to lose his cool after the game-winning play from the six-time MVP.

The game-winning play completed a dominant fourth period from Cotton after scoring 15 points in the quarter to elad the 36ers back from the brink of going down 2-0.
"I just wanted us to get the rebound, I seen we had three seconds which was more time than I thought, so I just tried to put my 40-yard dash to the test," Cotton said in his post-game interview with John Casey.
"We knew we wanted to come back and play like the team we know how and try to get a win on our home court and we did that so now it's got to be short memory, just like the last game and prepare for Sunday.
"I just wanted to win, I've been playing this game since I was a little kid, I'll never let any ups and downs take my joy, I love my teammates and they played a hell of a game tonight."
Asked what sparked the confrontation with Davis, Cotton said it's "playoff basketball".
Cotton finished with 26 points off 8-from-20 shooting and 3-from-9 from the three-point line.
Flynn Cameron came up big when it matters for the 36ers with 17 points, including going 4-from-7 from beyond the arc, while John Jenkins (14 points) and Dejan Vasiljevic (12 points) played valuable roles.
Davis led the way for the Kings with 20 points and was supported by Xavier Cooks (18 points and 10 rebounds) and Craig (17 points).
Game three is at Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday afternoon.
