Australian point guard Josh Giddey continued to impress for Chicago in the pre-season, delivering another well-rounded performance as the Bulls edged out Minnesota 126–120 in their final pre-season game. See the full box score.
The Boomers guard finished with 14 points, 9 rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 29 minutes, shooting 5-from-10 from the field and 4-from-6 from the line. It was another display of balance and control from Giddey, who continues to find rhythm as the Bulls’ lead facilitator heading into the season.
Fellow Australian Lachlan Olbrich also saw court time, contributing two rebounds, and an assist in three minutes off the bench.
For the Timberwolves, Joe Ingles was sidelined due to injury, while Rocco Zikarsky did not feature, as Minnesota ran their starters in a regular-season style rotation.
In Houston, Dyson Daniels was rested as his Atlanta Hawks took on the Houston Rockets, but he was still able to deliver some fancy moves in pre-game warm-ups as seen in the video below. Coach Quinn Snyder told reporters pre-game he had no concerns with Daniels' availability for their season opener on Thursday.
Meanwhile in Utah, Matisse Thybulle and Duop Reath did not see the floor for the Trail Blazers in their matchup with the Jazz, as the pre-season rotations narrowed ahead of opening night.
