SuperCoach NBL Classic is BACK – and basketball.com.au is right in the thick of it.
The game is for the fans, and the fans have spoken, benching Beat the Coach, which has parqueted the way for the return of the season-long, trade-filled, salary-cap-busting, double-header trap-filled, banter-filled, POD unearthing fantasy slugfest for NBL27.
The SuperCoach NBL crew and NBL.com.au unleashed Beat the Coach last season. Loads of dedicated fans of the SuperCoach Classic format enjoyed it even though they still called for it to make a comeback as big as Aussie legend Joe Ingles ($300,000) returning home.
But as great shooters declare: You don’t make the shot you don’t take.

- The Grand Prize is $10,000
- Highest SuperCoach NBL points total in every round wins $500
- 10 Players – Four (4) Guards, Four (4) Forwards and Two (2) Centres
- Salary Cap is $2 Million.
- Player values are calculated on NBL players' real-life statistics – their values will increase and decrease as the season progresses.
SuperCoach NBL Scoring Explained
- Two-point Field Goal = 2 Points
- Three-point Field Goal = 3 Points
- Free Throw = 1 Point
- Rebound = 1 Point
- Assist = 2 Points
- Block = 3 Points
- Steal = 3 Points
- Turnover = -2 Points
- Double Double = 5 Points
- Triple Double = 10 Points (supersedes Double Double)
- Your captain, which you choose every week, is awarded double their score.
- Players on your bench contribute 50% of their overall individual SuperCoach totals to your team's weekly points total, with any half-point rounded up.
- Personal fouls do not accrue positive or negative points.
- Ignite Cup Games are included in SuperCoach NBL Rounds.
- The first SuperCoach NBL Lockout is Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 7.30pm.
