Sandy Brondello was a coach in demand in the WNBA and no wonder why, she has a history of turning franchise's around to become championship contenders.
And that's what makes expansion franchise, the Toronto Tempo, the perfect fit for the Australian basketball legend.
The Tempo are one of two expansion teams coming into the league in 2026 with Brondello choosing to make the move to Toronto despite significant interest from other teams around the league.
The two-time WNBA championship coach joins NBL legend Jason Cadee on the latest edition of 'Cut to the Jase' to talk about everything from feeling her time with the Liberty was up during last season, what her priorities are in building the Tempo, whether taking over an expansion franchise is daunting as well as discussing the current state of the WNBA, in the midst of CBA negotiations.
Brondello also goes in depth about the Australian Opals, how they turned their culture around after a disastrous Tokyo Olympics to become bronze medallists in Paris as well as why she's changed the way the Opals play in the lead up to the next FIBA World Cup and 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
