Despite a quiet night, Josh Giddey has earned bragging rights over fellow Aussies Duop Reath and Matisse Thybulle after a three-point buzzer beater from big man Nikola Vucevic helped the Chicago Bulls win a thriller on the road over the Portland Trail Blazers.
It was a big end to an otherwise tough night for Aussies in the NBA with Tyrese Proctor's Cleveland Cavaliers going down to the Houston Rockets, while so many others remain sidelined for their respective teams through injury.
NBA BOX SCORE: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Houston Rockets
Tyrese Proctor continues to earn consistent opportunities with the Cleveland Cavaliers in his rookie season but this time he got a first-row seat to a clinic from Houston Rockets duo Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun who led their team to a 114-104 win at Rocket Arena.
Proctor had two points and three assists in 10 minutes as the Cavaliers lost their third home game for the season.
Durant and Sengun combined for 48 points in Houston's 10-point victory on the road.
NBA BOX SCORE: Minnesota Timberwolves vs Washington Wizards
Aussie veteran Joe Ingles received a DNP Coach's Decision in a 120-109 win for the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Washington Wizards at the Target Center.
Big men Julius Randle and Naz Reid combined for 60 points to lead Minnesota.
Australian rookie Rocco Zikarsky is on assignment with the Iowa Wolves.
NBA BOX SCORE: Miami Heat vs Golden State Warriors
Former Sydney King and Golden State Warriors two-way forward Alex Toohey is on assignment with the Santa Cruz Warriors and missed the team's 110-96 loss to the Miami Heat as the Kaseya Center.
The Warriors were missing Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga and Jimmy Butler.
Norman Powell's red-hot start to the season rolled on for the Heat with 25 points.
NBA BOX SCORE: Indiana Pacers vs Charlotte Hornets
In a game which was supposed to feature two Australians in Josh Green (shoulder) and Johnny Furphy (ankle) , neither hit the court as both battle injuries to return to their respective teams.
The Indiana Pacers got their second win of the season over the Charlotte Hornets, winning 127-118 as Bennedict Mathurin led the scoring with 24 points.
NBA BOX SCORE: Portland Trail Blazers vs Chicago Bulls
Josh Giddey had a quiet night by his standards as the Chicago Bulls needed a last-second three-pointer from big man Nikola Vucevic to complete another fightback to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 122-121 at the Moda Center.
No Bulls starters aside from second-year player Matas Buzelis were positives in the plus-minus category, even Vucevic, as Chicago's bench once again helped them to victory. Giddey played 31 minutes for nine points, 13 assists and five rebounds. He also had five turnovers but went 2-from-3 from the beyond the arc.
Duop Reath played three minutes and didn't record a stat.
Matisse Thybulle is currently sidelined with a thumb injury for the Trail Blazers.
NBA BOX SCORE: Dallas Mavericks vs New York Knicks
Dante Exum (knee) is still sidelined with injury for the Dallas Mavericks.
Exum, who missed the Mavericks' 113-111 loss to the New York Knicks at American Airlines Center, is yet to play a game this season.
