The performance of the Memphis Grizzlies big man headlined the Aussies in action in the NBA

Jock Landale once again took full advantage of more opportunity with the Australian Boomers having an offensive explosion against three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

Landale, who has recently moved back to the bench following the return of Zach Edey, stepped up with Edey going out early in the first quarter with a head injury.

The 30-year-old tied his career-high in the NBA with 26 points and has continued his red-hot shooting from three-point range against the Nuggets as the Memphis Grizzlies went toe-to-toe with the Western Conference heavyweights without star guard Ja Morant.

With season averages of 10.5 points and 5.3 rebounds, while shooting 44% from beyond the arc, Landale has been an absolute bargain for the Grizzlies after the Melbourne product joined the franchise when the Houston Rockets waived him in the offseason.

His work ethic, toughness and consistency have been a godsend for the Grizzlies who are in desperate need of some stability following several seasons riddled with controversies surrounding Morant and their coaching situation.

Today's performance also caught the eye of Australian basketball legends, including 2015 NBA champion Andrew Bogut.
