Luke Paul steered Australia into the semi-finals of the FIBA Under-17 Men's World Cup with another masterclass as the unbeaten Crocs dismantled Canada 100-86 in Istanbul on Friday (AEST).

The Crocs now face the US in the semi-finals.

NBL Next Star Paul finished with 21 points, 10 assists and five rebounds as Australia improved to 5-0, booking a place in the final four with its most impressive victory of the tournament.

Paul was one of five Australians to score in double figures, while centre Yahya Basaran dominated the paint with a double-double of 12 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks in another outstanding defensive display.

Australia seized control after Canada led 8-4 early, closing the opening quarter on a 22-4 run to take a commanding 26-12 advantage.

The Crocs never looked back.

Greg Vanderjagt's side stretched the lead to 51-32 by halftime before blowing the margin out to as many as 30 points during the third quarter with relentless defence, crisp ball movement and efficient shooting.

Paul again controlled the tempo, shooting seven-from-11 from the field, including three-from-four from beyond the arc, while finishing with a game-high efficiency rating of 29.

The Crocs also controlled the glass 55-36 and protected the rim with 11 blocked shots, led by Basaran's five.

Canada found some late offence through Isaiah Hamilton, who scored 19 points, but Australia had already put the contest beyond doubt after leading for more than 34 minutes.

The victory keeps Australia's unbeaten World Cup campaign alive and moves the Crocs within one win of securing a medal, with a semi-final showdown now awaiting in Istanbul.
