Highlights

No change at the top as Wickstrom leads a reshuffled NCAAW top 10 power rankings.

While there’s no movement in the top five of the NCAAW player power rankings this week, there’s some returning faces who have forced their way back into the top 10.

It must be said, this was the toughest week so far to select a top 10, and those in the honourable mentions are pushing hard.

Let’s dive in.

1. Hannah Wickstrom (UC Riverside) SOPHOMORE

Best Performance – 28 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals in 40 minutes v Long Beach State

There is no slowing down Hannah Wickstrom, with the sharpshooter averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.5 steals across two games. Now averaging 22.7 points for the season, she has risen to seventh in the nation for scoring!

An unstoppable force on offence, Wickstrom gains more and more confidence with each passing game.

2. Charlise Dunn (Davidson) – SENIOR

Best Performance – 21 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 36 minutes v Saint Joseph’s

Make that three double-doubles in a row for Charlise Dunn and in her most recent outing, she passed 1,000 career points as she continues to be everything Davidson needs her to be.

Averaging 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds over her last three games, Dunn’s impact on both ends of the court is game-changing.

3. Erin Condron (UC San Diego) JUNIOR

Best Performance – 16 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists in 26 minutes v Cal State Northridge

The head of the snake on this impressive UC San Diego squad, Erin Condron is leading the team in points (15.1 per game), rebounds (8.1) and blocks (1.4). Sitting on top of the Big West with a 10-1 conference record, the Tritons have only lost twice in two months and Condron is the key piece of their puzzle.

4. Lulu Twidale (California) JUNIOR

Best Performance – 19 points, four assists and two rebounds in 40 minutes v Notre Dame

Lulu Twidale has been on a mission in her junior season. Continuing a hot run of form, she was electric as California claimed an impressive win over Notre Dame.

With the Fighting Irish storming back into the game, Twidale hit a pair of triples late in the third quarter to give the Golden Bears some breathing space and they would go onto win, 80-69.

5. Antoniette Emma-Nnopu (Weber State) SENIOR

Best Performance – 16 points, nine rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes v Idaho State

Since returning to line-up in early January, Antoniette Emma-Nnopu has been in a great groove and continued to impress in Weber State’s lone game this past week against Idaho State.

Despite the loss, 65-54, Emma-Nnopu finished with a near double-double of 16 points and 9 rebounds. She just continues to go to work.

6. Dani Bayes (Boise State) SENIOR

Best Performance – 18 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 21 minutes v San Jose State

In Boise State’s lone game this past week, Dani Bayes shot the lights out (5/5 3PT FG) and helped put the game to bed early as the Broncos ran out 34-point winners against San Jose State, 96-62.

In an incredible first quarter, Bayes hit three triples in a row and finished with 12 points in the period as the Broncos stormed out to a monster 39-14 lead at the first break.

7. Mia Jacobs (Oregon) SENIOR

Best Performance – 10 points, five rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes v Rutgers

Oregon claimed a huge scalp this past week, taking down #16 Maryland and Mia Jacobs did a bit of everything in the 68-61 win. The Ducks continue to take it right up to ranked opponents and earned a well-deserved win, making it three wins on the trot.

Earlier in the week, Jacobs recorded 10 points and 5 rebounds in a win over Rutgers.

8. Hilary Fuller (Belmont) SOPHOMORE

Hilary Fuller continues to shine for Belmont, with the sophomore forward pacing the Bruins’ offence with 14 points per game.

Despite a tight loss to Murray State, Fuller was in her bag, showing off her post moves and making plenty of noise in the paint to finish with a team-high 20 points.

Best Performance – 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes v Arkansas

Amelia Hassett returns to the top 10 off the back of a super consistent past five games, where she has been knocking down triples as we all know she can.

Against Arkansas, Hassett finished with 16 points (4/9 3PT FG) and 7 rebounds, as the Wildcats torched the Razorbacks, 93-73. Over her past five games, Hassett is shooting 43.6% from deep on almost eight attempts per game.

Rubi Gray led all scorers as her Sacramento State squad earned a win over Montana, 64-57. The sophomore caught fire from deep, hitting four triples on her way to 18 points as the Hornets returned to the winners list.
