Melbourne's Anthony Dell'Orso talks Arizona's start to the season, his journey to NCAA and more

He's been spruiked as an NBA prospect by legendary UCONN coach Dan Hurley and is one of the many Aussies taking NCAA college basketball by storm, now Arizona Wildcats star Anthony Dell'Orso is the latest special guest on 'Cut to the Jase'.

With his Wildcats off to a flying start at 6-0, including wins over the defending champion Florida Gators and UCONN, Dell'Orso has played a significant role off the bench for Arizona as a senior.

The 22-year-old Melbourne product joins NBL legend Jason Cadee and talks about his team's red-hot form, his journey to Arizona after spending two years at the mid-major level, his dreams of playing in the NBA and what it's like playing at one of college's basketball's most famous schools.

Dell'Orso is averaging 10.5 points, 3.5 assists and two rebounds in 26 minutes per game for Tommy Lloyd's team with his form recognised by two-time national championship coach Dan Hurley, who said the 6'5" guard was one of the best bench players in the country and that he'll find himself on an NBA team in the future.

He and Cadee also give a special insight into the mental aspects of being a role player and how to deal with changes in roles throughout a season and over their careers.

On the rest of episode 11 of Cut to the Jase, Cadee and basketball.com.au editor Brayden Heslehurst preview the trans-Tasman series between the Australian Boomers and New Zealand Tall Blacks and give their three trades that would change the NBL landscape - if trades in the NBL were a thing, that is.
