- Revealed: Jason Cadee's Australian Boomers starting five
He may be on a Memphis Grizzlies team that can't take a trick at the moment but Jock Landale is getting his job done.
Filling in as the starting centre with regular first-choice big man Zach Edey out with injury, Landale has been impressive after moving from the Houston Rockets. The Boomers enforcer added another game to his streak of consecutive double-digit scoring games but in a better sign, continues to light it up from the three-point line.
The 30-year-old from Melbourne made another two long bombs against the OKC Thunder and is shooting more than 54% for the season.
It's a great sign for Landale and the Boomers with his ability to match it with bigger bodies in the FIBA game but also stretch the floor part of his special repertoire, which has made him so tough to guard in the international game.
While the former Melbourne United star continues to perform for Memphis, Johnny Furphy is still out injured while other Aussies impressed in the G League.
