Australian women deliver big shifts on Nov 14, led by Tess Heal, Opal Bird and Jada Crawshaw.

Australian women across Division I delivered a mix of breakout performances, steady contributions and tough learning nights on a packed November 14 slate.

San Diego juniors Malia Tharpe and Lilly Amor logged heavy minutes against Arizona State, with Tharpe battling for six points and six boards while Amor added three points and two assists.

Belmont’s Hilary Fuller impressed again, posting 10 points and five rebounds on the road at No.12 Tennessee, while Rider guard Emmy Roach continued her strong early-season form with 11 points and seven boards against Stonehill.

Kansas State senior Tess Heal was superb in a one-point loss to South Dakota, filling the stat sheet with 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists while Wake Forest freshman Opal Bird dished out eight assists in a win over Mercer, and Georgia Tech’s Top End forward Jada Crawshaw delivered a season-best performance with 10 points and eight rebounds as the Yellow Jackets cruised past Charleston Southern.

Junior  Malia Tharpe logged a massive 37-minute workload in San Diego’s loss to Arizona State, finishing with six points and six rebounds. The Cottesloe forward battled on the glass and knocked down a three, but endured a tough shooting night as the Toreros struggled to generate efficient offense against the Sun Devils’ pressure. Teammate Sophomore  Lilly Amor provided 21 minutes of backcourt steadiness in San Diego’s loss to Arizona State, finishing with three points and two assists. The Melbourne guard knocked down a three and handled the ball cleanly, but the Toreros struggled to create rhythm against ASU’s defensive pressure.

Heal’s poise and activity kept K-State in it late as the Wildcats mounted a fourth-quarter push.
