West Adelaide delivered the biggest statement of Round 7 of the NBL1 2026 Central Women's Conference, while Central Districts executed late to secure a key win in a split-result round.

Chloe Hodges controlled the game on both ends, finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, five steals and a block in 29 minutes as West Adelaide overwhelmed Eastern in a complete performance.
The Bearcats set the tone immediately, scoring 36 points in the opening quarter and never allowing the Mavericks to settle. The defensive pressure was constant, forcing 36 turnovers and turning them into repeat scoring opportunities.
West Adelaide’s depth showed across the rotation.
Morgan Yaeger led all scorers with 23 points, while Coco Hodges added 17 points and six rebounds.
Krystal Thompson contributed 10 points, five steals and efficient inside scoring, highlighting the Bearcats’ ability to generate offence from defence.
Eastern struggled to generate clean looks.
Bella Schaftenaar led with 13 points, while Annaliese Watkinson added 11, but the Mavericks shot just 26.8% from the field and 18.2% from three.
The gap was built through control – West Adelaide won the glass (53-36), dominated possession, and maintained scoring pressure for all four quarters.

Tiahna Sears delivered a dominant inside performance, finishing with 26 points and 16 rebounds, leading Central Districts to a composed win over North Adelaide.
Central controlled the game early, scoring 52 points in the first half and establishing a margin through rebounding and free-throw pressure. Sears was central to that, drawing contact and converting 11-from-12 at the line.
Grace Stone added 20 points, while Alana Howden contributed 14 points and four assists, giving Central multiple scoring options across the floor.
North Adelaide responded in patches but couldn’t fully close the gap.
Sarah Warner led with 20 points, while Abbey Jones produced an efficient double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds on 6-from-7 shooting).
Central’s control of possessions proved decisive – they finished with 20 offensive rebounds and limited North Adelaide’s ability to generate second chances.
