Inside Dallas Loughridge's 'Lightning' start to WNBL26
Featured
Loughridge, a candidate for the WNBL's breakout player of the year, joins former teammate Bec Cole
- Dallas Loughridge was one of the big WNBL free agent signings in the offseason, moving from Southside to Adelaide
- She is having a breakout season with the Lightning, averaging 16.4 points and 4.1 assists per game
- Loughridge represented Australian teams throughout her junior career
She's been one of the breakout stars of WNBL26 after a career-changing move from the Southside Melbourne Flyers to the revamped Adelaide Lightning, which has seen her emerge as one of the premier point guards in the league.
The former Australian junior representative has been a revelation with the Lightning and joins two-time WNBL champion, and former teammate Bec Cole, on the latest edition of It's a Cole World to talk all about it.
After playing a reserve role for the Flyers in the start to her WNBL career, Loughridge has taken on the starting point guard role for Adelaide and hasn't looked back since, reaching double figures in every game this season and scoring a season-high 26 points against championship favourites - the Townsville Fire - on November 15.
Loughridge has fit in seamlessly with the likes of WNBA and Opals star Steph Talbot as well as Los Angeles Spark Sania Feagin and has shown she has one of the best handles in the league.
And at just 21-years-old, the Victorian product has shown there is a bright future ahead, not only for herself but for the point guard position in Australian basketball.
