Two-time WNBL champion and Perth Lynx WNBL26 star guard Ally Wilson won gold with the Australian Opals at the 2025 FIBA Women's Asia Cup, she sits down with Bec Cole for the latest episode of It's a Cole World.
Wilson, 31, is having a standout season for the third placed Lynx at 14-5. She moved from the Bendigo Spirit in 2024.
"As a point guard, there’s a lot of decision-making around when to score and when to get others involved," she said.
"I’m really loving being in Perth and playing under Ryan Petrik. Since moving here, I feel like I’ve flourished.
"The system suits me, and I don’t have to overthink things. I just make the play I see, and that’s when I play my best basketball."
Wilson also revealed what it was like playing with Chinese star Han Zu.
"She’s very unique," Wilson said.
"She can roll, she can pop, and she shoots the three extremely well. She’s brought so many eyes to Perth and the league.
"But she’s also one of the best people you’ll ever meet. She’s humble, team-first, and just wants to win. I’ve loved playing with her."
