Australian point guard Josh Giddey has injured his left hamstring, limping off the floor with 8:10 to go in the third quarter of the Chicago Bulls home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves today.
The Bulls released a statement saying Giddey would not return in the second half. The Bulls did not release any further details about the injury.
His status is now uncertain heading into 2026.
The Bulls also lost starting guard Coby White to a calf injury earlier in the ball game and, elsewhere, Nikola Jokic has hurt his knee in a non-contact injury. He fell to the ground clutching his knee against against the Miami Heat.
A short time ago, Bulls beat writer KC Johnson reported that Giddey was in the locker room, walking without a a limp.
NBA Box Score: Milwaukee Bucks 123 Charlotte Hornets 113
The Charlotte Hornets stayed competitive for three quarters before the Milwaukee Bucks pulled away late, outscoring Charlotte 28–24 in the fourth to secure a 10-point road win.
For the Hornets, Australian wing Josh Green came off the bench and provided a solid two-way contribution in 23 minutes, finishing with 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting, knocking down 2-of-7 from three, and adding two rebounds. While his –10 plus/minus reflected Charlotte’s struggles late, Green’s minutes were important during a second-half stretch where the Hornets tried to stabilise defensively and keep pace on the perimeter.
Charlotte was led offensively by Brandon Miller (31 points, eight rebounds) and LaMelo Ball (26 points, seven assists), but inefficiency and turnovers proved costly. The Hornets shot 43% from the field and 37% from three, while Milwaukee punished mistakes with superior ball movement and interior efficiency.
The Bucks were paced by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who controlled the game with 24 points and seven assists, supported by strong bench scoring, including 25 points from Bobby Portis and 23 from Kyle Kuzma.
Charlotte drops to 11–21, while Milwaukee’s balanced attack and bench depth proved decisive down the stretch.
NBA Box Score: Minnesota Timberwolves @ Chicago Bulls

Giddey is firmly in NBA All-Star calculations and is a lock according to Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett. Giddey had 11 points in 18 minutes, four rebounds and three assists.
His status is unknown.
Minnesota blew the game open after Giddey went out, outscoring Chicago 81–51 in the second half to turn a two-point deficit at quarter time into a 35-point rout.
Minnesota shot 54% from the field and buried 15 threes, overwhelming the Bulls with pace, shooting, and depth.
NBA Box Score: Atlanta Hawks @ Oklahoma City Thunder
For Dyson Daniels, this was a high-usage, high-responsibility night against one of the league’s best teams. While the efficiency and plus-minus weren’t in his favour, his minutes load, assist volume, and defensive versatility underline his growing role at the starting point guard — even as the Hawks continue to search for consistency against top-tier opposition.
Daniels delivered a solid all-around performance in heavy minutes, but was asked to shoulder significant defensive and playmaking responsibility against an elite Thunder backcourt.
In 35 minutes, he finished with:
- 13 points (6-of-13 FG)
- 6 rebounds
- 7 assists
- 2 blocks
- 1 steal
- 4 turnovers
- –20 plus/minus
Daniels was heavily involved offensively as a secondary creator, consistently initiating sets and finding teammates, but struggled to impact the game from the perimeter (0-for-1 from three). Defensively, he competed across multiple matchups, registering two blocks, yet Atlanta’s overall inability to slow Oklahoma City’s guards and wings limited his influence on the outcome.
NBA Box Score: Houston Rockets @ Indiana Pacers
Indiana showed late fight with a 41-point fourth quarter, but the damage was done earlier as Houston’s dominant first three quarters set up a seven-point home win.
Australian Johnny Furphy continued his steady integration into Indiana’s rotation, delivering an efficient, low-usage performance while guarding up a position for long stretches.
In 20 minutes, Furphy finished with:
- 9 points (4-of-5 FG)
- 1-of-2 from three
- 4 rebounds
- 1 assist
- 1 steal
- 0 turnovers
- –12 plus/minus
Furphy’s impact came through shot selection and movement. He scored within the flow of the offense, cutting decisively, finishing in space, and knocking down an open three. He didn’t force offense, didn’t turn the ball over, and consistently made the extra pass — a reflection of trust from the coaching staff despite limited touches.
Defensively, Furphy competed on the glass and held his ground against Houston’s physical wings, though Indiana struggled overall to contain penetration and second-chance opportunities during his minutes.
