Adelaide freshman forward Lara Somfai has started her NCAA Division I women's basketball career in outstanding form. She's averaging 14.5 points (42.9%) and 10.5 rebounds.
South Australian Somfai recorded her second straight double-double as Stanford demolished fellow Australian Jordan Billing's Cal Poly by 35 points.
Elsewhere, Dani Bayes poured in 20 points with six rebounds and five assists as Boise State cruised past San Francisco, while Galbraith led Texas State with 15 points against Texas Tech. Over in California, UC Santa Barbara’s Australian duo dominated — Zoe Shaw dropping 19 points and Olivia Bradley adding 14 in a 40-point win.

Australian junior guard Dani Bayes was outstanding for Boise State, scoring 20 points with six rebounds and five assists while hitting 4-from-8 from three in 31 minutes — a complete performance leading the Broncos’ backcourt. Sophomore Milly Sharp didn't play.

Melbourne's Freshman forward Eleanor Trout earned her first minutes in NCAAW basketball. She played three minutes off the bench on BC's dominate win against UMass, although she didn't score, college minutes are college minutes.

Queensland senior forward Amelia Hassett continued her strong start to the season in Kentucky’s 81–47 win at Buffalo, posting eight points, five rebounds, and five blocks in 22 minutes, shooting 3-from-7 from the field and 2-from-6 from three in another impactful two-way performance for the Wildcats. Buffalo’s Melbourne freshman forward Meg Lucas battled hard on the glass, grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds to go with three points and two assists in 27 minutes, shooting 1-from-6 from the field and 1-of-2 from the line. Buffalo sophomore Alice Dart didn't play.

Adelaide freshman forward Lara Somfai continued her impressive start for Stanford, recording her second straight double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes during a 90–55 win over Cal Poly. She shot 6-from-14 from the field, added three steals and a block, and showed poise at both ends in another strong outing for the Cardinal. Cal Poly’s Gold Coast junior guard Jordan Billing faced a tough matchup, finishing with two points, an assist, and a steal in 20 minutes, going 0-from-3 from the field but converting both free throws.

Ballarat sophomore forward Georgia Cox was held scoreless in Evansville’s 119–43 loss to No. 21 Iowa, finishing with one rebound and one assist in 12 minutes, going 0-from-5 from the field against one of the nation’s top teams.

Darwin-born junior forward Jada Crawshaw made the most of limited minutes in Georgia Tech’s 67–61 loss to Princeton, scoring four points on a perfect 2-for-2 shooting, along with one rebound and two assists in 11 minutes off the bench.

Australians Edie Clarke, Emily Foy, and Amy Kurkowski all hit the scoreboard for Saint Mary’s — Clarke filled the stat sheet with eight points, six rebounds, and five steals, Foy added seven points and 2 assists, and Kurkowski provided a spark off the bench with eight points on efficient 50% shooting.

Sunshine Coast–born sophomore guard Mia Galbraith delivered a strong performance for Texas State, scoring 15 points with four rebounds, an assist, and a steal in 29 minutes, shooting 46% from the field and perfect from the line in a composed outing for the (0-2) Bobcats.

Australians Olivia Bradley and Zoe Shaw starred in UC Santa Barbara’s dominant win, combining for 33 points and 14 rebounds. Shaw was electric with 19 points on 5-from-9 from three, while Bradley added 14 points, seven boards, and two blocks in a powerful all-around effort.
