Rocco sighting as SGA's points streak strikes Wolves

Rookie Aussie big men Rocco Zikarsky is getting to taste more and more of the NBA after hitting the court against the defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder.

Zikarsky hit the court for two minutes as the Minnesota Timberwolves fell 116-103 to the Thunder at the Paycom Center, going 1-from-3 from the field for two points and grabbing one rebound.

Two minutes in garbage time might not seem like much but for a rookie, who has dominated the G League and needs exposure to the next level, it's invaluable for the 19-year-old as he tries to show he has the potential to make an impact in the future for the Timberwolves.

While Zikarsky and Minnesota were unable to get the win, Thunder star and last season's NBA MVP in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander kept his streak of games with 20 or more points alive with 20 points lead OKC to victory.

The performance helped SGA extend his streak to 128 straight games.

Minnesota's loss sends them down to sixth spot in a stacked Western Conference.

Aussie veteran Joe Ingles played two minutes at the end of Minnesota's 13-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder as well as Rocco Zikarsky.

Ingles had one rebound in his minutes.

Former Australian Boomers defensive stopper Matisse Thybulle played 15 minutes off the bench as the Portland Trail Blazers lost 109-103 to the Philadelphia 76ers at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Thybulle had five points, going 2-from-4 from the field and 1-from-3 from beyond the arc, as well as three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Quentin Grimes led the scoring for the 76ers with 31 points.
