Jock Landale left the game with an ankle injury after a flagrant foul from Goga Bitadze

Orlando Magic big man Goga Bitadze learned never to mess with an Australian Boomer when one of his brother's are around after Dyson Daniels took a stand for Jock Landale in a dominant win for the Atlanta Hawks.

Bitadze put a hard foul on Landale as he rose up for a layup with 7:30 left in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's 130-101 victory on the road, grabbing the Aussie veteran on the shoulder and dragging him to the ground.

The fall left Landale with an ankle injury with the Hawks ruling him out of the rest of the game shortly after.

But the incident drew a quick response from Daniels, Landale's Hawks and Australian Boomers teammate, who tried to go after Bitadze alongside Johnathan Kuminga and Jalen Johnson.

Players and coaches were able to keep Bitadze separated from Daniels but it was probably the most heated the young Aussie has been on an NBA court in his short career - showing how strong the team chemistry is with the rising Hawks after their recent run of form.

Daniels chasing Bitadze did result in a funny moment between last season's Most Improved Player and the referee, who was trying to keep the Atlanta defensive stopper away from his opponent and instead they both fell to the ground.

Bitadze was ejected as a result of the flagrant foul.

The Hawks would go on to win their third straight, including eight of their last 10 games, moving them up to fifth in the Eastern Conference.

NBA BOX SCORE: Chicago Bulls vs Indiana Pacers

Josh Giddey missed Chicago's clash with Indiana at the United Center with a hamstring injury but in a battle of the tanking teams, fellow Aussie Lachlan Olbrich received plenty of opportunity.

The former Illawarra Hawk played 17 minutes for eight points, going 4-from-8 from the field, and also grabbed eight rebounds but it wasn;t enough as the Pacers recorded a 145-126 win.
