Eastern Conference
Atlanta Hawks
Media Day: September 29: Dyson Daniels Interview | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Dyson Daniels is coming off a historic 2024-25, winning the NBA's Most Improved Player Award after snatching 229 steals, the most in 30 years. Daniels, 22, averaged 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.0 steals per game last season. Daniels said: "Defense is always my backbone; it got me here. So I focused on building the offensive side: a lot of shots, different pickups, different footwork, different finishing. We’re deep this year — playing off guys like Trae, with KP coming in, and Nickeil — so I’m fitting my role and playing it to the best of my ability.”
Charlotte Hornets
Media Day: September 29 | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Josh Green's timetable for return is uncertain still rehabbing from shoulder surgery in June, 2025. Coach Charles Lee revealed both Green and forward Grant Williams are “progressing” but neither will be ready to start camp. Green averaged 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 68 games last season.

Chicago Bulls
Media Day: September 29 | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Josh Giddey and Lachlan Olbrich head into training camp on two different trajectories. Giddey, 22, signed a USD $100M four-year contract after a prolonged standoff with the Bulls in the off-season while Olbrich, 21, comes into his first training camp after being selected with the 55th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Giddey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists in 2024-25 and his new deal puts him front and centre of the Bulls offensive until the end of the decade.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Media Day: September 29: Luke Travers Interview | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Tyrese Proctor and Luke Travers entering training camp with different goals. Proctor, 21, signed a sign four-year, (AUD) $13.2M deal after being selected with the 49th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Duke University and will get minutes in 2025-26 as a back-up point guard while Travers re-signed with the Cavs on a two-way deal. Travers, 24, averaged a near triple double in 16 G-League games last season: 15.5 points; 9.8 rebounds and 7.4 assists for the Charge. Training camp is an opportunity for Travers to prove he's earned more NBA minutes. Travers said: "I’ve got internal goals I’ll keep to myself, but on the court it’s about showing I fit at this level. It starts with preseason — it’s going to be huge for me to prove I belong and can thrive at this level. Versatility, especially on defense."
Indiana Pacers
Media Day: September 29: Johnny Furphy Interview | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
It's go-time for Johnny Furphy who is coming off an outstanding, highlight-filled 2025 Summer League in Las Vegas. Furphy, 20, delivered the dunk of the Summer League, posterising Chicago Bulls Noa Essengue and is facing an opportunity to earn more minutes in 2025-26. The Pacers are in a minor rebuild after losing 2025 NBA playoffs hero Tyrese Haliburton to a crushing Achilles tear in Game 7 of the NBA Finals and Myles Turner to Milwaukee Bucks in free agency. Furphy averaged 2.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 50 games in his rookie season. Furphy said: "I’ve got to be able to make open shots all the time. That’s the biggest thing. And then defense — I think defense is going to help me get opportunities.”
Western Conference
Dallas Mavericks
Media Day: September 29 | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Dante Exum is healthy and Melbourne-born American Kyrie Irving is still recovering from a season-ending ACL injury. Exum, 30, comes into training camp without injury unlike last season and should expect an expanded role in 2025-26 after the Mavericks traded superstar Luke Doncic for Anthony Davis mid-season. The Mavs are an intriguing prospect in 2025-26 with the addition of No.1 Draft pick Cooper Flagg and a healthy Davis. Irving, 33, is expected back next year and with a full roster Dallas is a legitimate contender in a stacked Western Conference. In 20 games, Exum averaged 8.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in an injury-plagued 2024-25 season.
Golden State Warriors
Media Day: September 29 | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Alex Toohey and Taran Armstrong are on the edges of the Warriors roster. Toohey, 21, was selected 52nd overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2025 NBA Draft with his rights traded to the Warriors while Armstrong, 23, is back on his second two-way contract after joining Golden State at the end of NBL25. The likelihood of both suiting up for the Santa Cruz Warriors is high as they both continue to develop into NBA professionals. Armstrong has been linked to a deal in Europe if he does not return.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Media Day: September 29: Joe Ingles Interview | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Joe Ingles and Rocco Zikarsky are at opposite ends of their careers. Ingles, 38 on October 2, is heading into his 12th training camp while Zikarsky, 19, his first. Ingles presence in the Timberwolves locker room is a primary reason Minnesota re-signed the Australian Boomers Olympic Games bronze medallist while Zikarsky was the first Australian picked in the 2025 NBA Draft with the 45th pick by the Chicago Bulls. His rights were traded on draft day. Whether Zikarsky earns his way on to the T'Wolves roster remains to be seen as the big man develops into an NBA centre. Ingles said: "It was good to work out on my own schedule, figure out new little things that might help. I feel great, I’ll be ready to go tomorrow. With (coach Chris Finch) Finchy, we’ve got a great relationship. If he tells me to be ready, I’ll be ready.”
Memphis Grizzlies
Media Day: September 29: Jock Landale Interview | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Jock Landale is free of the Houston Rockets deep centre rotation. Landale, 29, was released by the Rockets in July and signed with the Grizzlies on July 15. He averaged 4.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 42 games for the Rockets. His back-up centre role at the Grizzlies will deliver the Australian Boomers big more minutes. Landale said: "It’s the opportunity you play for, and I feel like I’ve been ready for it my whole NBA career. I had it in Phoenix in the playoffs, starting against Denver. I know what I’m good at, I know what this team needs from me. I don’t have to do anything out of the ordinary. My job is to make everyone’s life easier — set big screens for Ja (Morant), get him loose, play with effort and energy."
Portland Trail Blazers
Media Day: September 29 | Training Camp: Monday, September 29th (US time)
Duop Reath and Matisse Thybulle both re-signed with the Blazers during the off-season. Thybulle, 28, endured an injury-riddled 2024-25 season coming off the disappointment of not being selected in the Australian Boomers 2024 Olympic Games campaign in Paris. He played just 15 games last season, returning late. But he showed out, averaging 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists. Centre Reath, 29, enters his third season in the NBA. Reath played in 46 games last season, averaging 4.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.6 assists in limited minutes.
