Former Australian Boomers guard Jason Cadee has revealed the bench he would pick to boost the green and gold's tilt at a FIBA World Cup or Olympic Games medal.
Cadee, who played 424 NBL games and was part of Australia's successful 2017 FIBA Asia Cup, unveiled who would feature in his starting line-up last week where he controversially selected three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons in the power forward spot.
Simmons was accompanied by the backcourt of Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels as well as Jock Landale and Indiana Pacers wing Johnny Furphy.
Now, Cadee has picked the seven players he believed could help the Boomers' core achieve success at the 2027 FIBA World Cup in Qatar and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Tyrese Proctor headlines the Australian reserves after an impressive start to his NBA career, where he became the quickest Aussie to hit five triples in the world's best league.
Proctor provides a great back-up option for Giddey at the point guard position but also has the shooting ability to shift to the two spot.
"I think he's going to play a massive part and his ability to shoot the ball is something our Boomers team needs," Cadee said on the latest edition of 'Cut to the Jase' with special guest Sandy Brondello.
Cadee also has current NBL Next Star and predicted first round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, Dash Daniels, joining his brother in the team while Jack McVeigh also makes the 12 after his effort at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he led the tournament in three-point percentage.
Further boosting Australia's defensive ability, wings Josh Green and Matisse Thybulle featured in the reserves, as well as Portland Trail Blazers big man Duop Reath - providing more lethal three-point shooting.
But perhaps the biggest surprise was Cadee's inclusion of Minnesota Timberwolves rookie in the 7'3" Rocco Zikarsky, who he believed could provide the Boomers with a point of different at major international tournaments.
"I think Rocco has a point of difference with his size," Cadee said.
"With his growth in the next few years, he gives us a genuine big. When you have a big at international level who can be a genuine rim presence and rim roller, I think it just frees up guys like Dyson and guys like Josh."
Brayden Heslehurst, Cadee's co-host on 'Cut to the Jase', picked his Boomers reserves which includes Tyrese Proctor, Dante Exum, Dash Daniels, Duop Reath, Lachlan Olbrich, Josh Green and defendign NCAA National Champion, Alex Condon.
His starters, which were also revealed last week, featured Giddey, Daniels, Furphy, Thybulle and Landale.
