Australian basketball is about to enter a two-month stretch unlike anything else on the 2026 calendar, with elite domestic leagues, national teams, junior world championships and NBA showcase events colliding across June and July.

The Australia men's national basketball team return during the FIBA Asia Cup qualifying window, while the Australia women's national basketball team host China in a blockbuster Melbourne series ahead of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup build-up.
